Philadelphia, May 8, 2017 – Following the opening of its Pittsburgh office last week, Cozen O’Connor welcomes an additional six lawyers from Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC to Pittsburgh and 11 attorneys to the Philadelphia office.
Joining the newly opened Pittsburgh office are Members Peter Ennis, Brian Balonick, Joseph Quinn, Matthew Smith; Bobbi Britton Tucker as Counsel; and Seth Popick as an Associate. They join Thomas Giotto, Gene Giotto, and Jeremy Garvey, who opened Cozen O’Connor’s Pittsburgh office last week.
Ennis, Balonick, Quinn and Tucker are joining the firm’s Labor & Employment Department. Smith is joining the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department, specializing in long-term care litigation. Popick will join the Corporate Practice Group in mid-May.
Cozen O’Connor expects that growth of the Pittsburgh office will continue substantially over the next 12-18 months.
The attorneys joining Cozen O’Connor’s Philadelphia office, include well-known labor and employment lawyers Fred D’Angelo, Jr., Robert Hawkins, David Hackett, Frances Rayer, Elizabeth Malloy, Michael Hanlon, James Sullivan, Lauren Fox, Joseph Sirbak II, and Andrew Rolfes. Anna Will Kentz will join as an associate in the Labor & Employment Department.
Among their Labor & Employment clients are Philadelphia Media Network, Southeastern Transportation Authority of Pennsylvania, The School District of Philadelphia, Jefferson Health System, and Main Line Health System.

Peter Ennis represents employers before state and federal courts and agencies involving such claims as sexual harassment; race, sex, age, and disability discrimination; wrongful discharge; breaches of covenants not to compete; wage and hour class and collective actions; ERISA litigation; and injunction proceedings.
Brian Balonick advises his clients in all aspects of labor and employment law, including traditional labor, employment discrimination, and trade secret litigation.
Joseph Quinn has broad experience in collective bargaining and labor arbitration, employment counseling, and employment litigation.
Matthew Smith focuses his practice on a variety of commercial litigation matters, including long-term care litigation law and negotiating licensing agreements.
Bobbi Britton Tucker devotes her practice to representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including cases related to discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination.
Seth Popick focuses his practice on corporate law and advises clients regarding periodic reporting obligations under securities law, about public offerings of equity and debt securities, and about general corporate and venture financing matters.
Frances Rayer will strengthen the firm’s immigration practice, which saw significant growth earlier this year when a team of five immigration attorneys, led by Scott Bettridge, joined the Miami office from Fox Rothschild. Rayer represents institutional clients and multinational corporations who are seeking to employ foreign nationals in the United States on either a temporary or permanent basis.
Elizabeth Malloy concentrates her practice on employment litigation and serves as a neutral investigator of employment-related claims, as well as student complaints in the educational sector.
Fred D’Angelo, Jr., concentrates his practice on the representation of management in both traditional labor relations and employment litigation.
Robert Hawkins represents employers and rail carriers in labor and employment law matters, especially those involving the transportation, manufacturing, and construction industries. Hawkins will chair the firm’s new Railway Labor Act Practice Group.
David Hackett represents and counsels employers concerning the full spectrum of labor and employment-related issues.
Michael Hanlon counsels clients in all aspects of traditional labor and employment law, executive compensation, employment discrimination, and public education.
James Sullivan focuses on labor and employment law and workplace safety and health matters. Sullivan recently completed a three-year term as the management co-chair of the American Bar Association Committee on Occupational Safety & Health Law.
Lauren Fox counsels private and public sector clients on the full range of labor and employment related issues, and has significant experience counseling government entities and education sector employers.
Joseph Sirbak, II, represents employers on matters arising under the Railway Labor Act (RLA) and the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), including union elections, the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, arbitration of grievances, emergency relief against unlawful picketing or other strike activity, and unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board.
Andrew Rolfes represents companies and municipalities, in both traditional labor law matters and employment discrimination litigation.
Anna Will Kentz defends and advises employers in a variety of employment and labor-related matters, including investigating and responding to complaints filed with federal and state agencies.
The launch of the Pittsburgh office and additions in Philadelphia come amid continued strong growth for Cozen O’Connor, which recorded a 10 percent increase in revenue in 2016.
