Cozen O’Connor Hires New Director of Pro Bono Engagement

PHILADELPHIA, May 2, 2016Melinda deLisle has joined Cozen O’Connor as the director of Pro Bono Engagement, a new position in the firm. Melinda will oversee and coordinate the thousands of hours of pro bono legal services the firm and the firm’s attorneys provide to people and organizations who need, but cannot afford, representation and to secure and protect civil rights. She will also serve on the firm’s Charitable Contributions Committee and will work closely with the firm’s Women’s Initiative. 

In addition to her work at Cozen O’Connor, Melinda teaches Introduction to Law and the Legal Process at The Wharton School, and Social Policy and the Law at the School of Social Policy and Practice. As a practicing attorney, deLisle concentrated on complex multidistrict litigation, antitrust litigation on behalf of plaintiffs, and pro bono work, among other things, in defense of abused women and children and the rights of LGBT people. Melinda received her law degree from Harvard Law School and her undergraduate degree from Brown University.
