PHILADELPHIA - Paul Leary, a member of Cozen O’Connor’s Commercial Litigation Department, has recently been named to the Board of Directors of both the Police Athletic League (PAL) and the Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS). Paul serves on Cozen O’Connor’s board of directors election committee, shareholder nominating committee and is chair of the Transportation & Logistics group. He concentrates his practice in complex commercial and product liability litigation matters. Paul serves as a national coordinating counsel for multinational companies in the retail, hospitality, transportation, health care and product manufacturing sectors. He has litigated and successfully tried to verdict catastrophic product liability matters, toxic tort actions, complex commercial transactions and derivative and class action lawsuits. In his role as national coordinating counsel, Paul partners with his clients to learn every aspect of their business to help facilitate risk management protocols, employee training, contract drafting and negotiations, non-disclosure agreements, emergency response protocols and litigation/trial strategy.
Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools, BLOCS, is an independent charitable organization supported by companies, firms and foundations of all sizes in the five county Philadelphia region. Since 1980, BLOCS has invested in the lives of tens of thousands of children throughout the Philadelphia area, including some of the poorest neighborhoods in the City.
The Philadelphia Police Athletic League is an independent non-profit corporation committed to "Cops Helping Kids". *Philadelphia PAL is comprised of 18 centers across Philadelphia serving thousands of youngsters both male and female. Each center is supervised by Philadelphia Police Officers who are assigned full-time to direct activities and oversee the young people. Programs include sport, educational and cultural opportunities.
