As part of its annual Top 100 rankings, Law360 ranked Cozen O’Connor fourth in the nation for the size of its insurance practice. Cozen O’Connor has 122 members across the firm’s 22 U.S. offices. Joseph A. Ziemianski, chair of the Global Insurance Department, credited “tremendous coordination” as the key to Cozen O’Connor’s success. “It is very helpful having the different offices around the country," Ziemianski said. "We often get cases where we're coordinating claims in multiple states, including hurricanes Sandy, Katrina and Rita and the recent concussion litigation. We utilize different offices to make sure a matter is staffed appropriately and don't reinvent the wheel,” said Ziemianski. Elliott R. Feldman, co-chair of firm’s litigation section, pointed out that the group often works in tandem with other practice groups within a specific industry. “We have industry teams with a matrix of practice groups comprised of attorneys focusing on particular industry sectors," Feldman said. "We're able to provide a wide range of services for clients in each industry, whether it's real estate aviation, cyber and so forth. That way, we can utilize our resources in an efficient way,” said Feldman.
