Scott Bettridge was quoted in a Latin Times article discussing immigration enforcement activity by the Miami ICE field office. The office has recorded more than 41,000 immigration-related arrests since the start of 2025, the highest total among all ICE field offices nationwide.

Regarding the disproportionate impact of the arrests on employers in certain industries, Scott stated that some cleaning companies have seen “40% to 50% of staff affected.” Many of the impacted workers are Venezuelan nationals whose immigration status has been affected by shifting protected-status rules.
