Ira Bodenstein will moderate the panel “Let’s Be Careful Out There - Protecting the Receiver from Liability Claims” at the National Association of Federal Equity Receivers (NAFER) Miami Regional Meeting. The panel will examine the extent to which receivers have been found responsible for liability claims and provide an overview of the types of potential liability claims a receiver may face to assist receivers in evaluating risks and making decisions in the exercise of their duties. They will also discuss the Barton Doctrine and other potential safe harbors for the receiver.
