Jenny Goltz and Jeffrey Pasek will discuss the legal and practical pitfalls of using various forms of biometric technology with respect to your workforce. The use of biometric technology in the workplace offers many opportunities and benefits to employers and employees alike such as: time tracking, monitoring employee efficiency and increasing productivity, improving employee health, and helping to ensure employee safety.

As this technology becomes more readily available and affordable, employers are tempted to procure it and put it to work. But, without fully vetting these types of tools and putting proper safeguards into place, the use of biometric technology carries a host of hidden costs and privacy implications, and potential legal liability. Jenny and Jeff will discuss current and proposed laws and regulations that impact biometric technology in the workplace and current litigation over the usage of these tools. Finally, they will discuss best practices so that you can get the best and most efficient use out of biometric technology, while avoiding legal liability.
