Jennifer Kennedy-Coggins and Fred Warren Jacoby will present at the Avoiding, Prosecuting, and Defending Construction Defect Claims seminar. Jennifer's presentation is titled, "The Emerging Role (And Risks) of Drones in Assisting with Construction," and will expand on drones, how they are regulated, ways they assist in construction and help avoid construction defect claims, possible liabilities as a result of drone operation, parties with potential liability exposure in drone operations, theories of liability, and whether there is insurance coverage available for drone operations.

 

Fred's presentation is titled, "Reducing risk for yourself, your company and your clients," and will discuss recent changes to the AIA form documents (addressing defects), negotiating fair and understandable contract terms in contemplation of potential construction defect claims, understanding consequences for defects, delay, disruption, nonperformance, and inadequate performance, The Economic Loss Rule, and Shop Drawing Liability.

 

Jennifer is co-chair of the program and will open and introduce the full day seminar. The seminar begins at 8:00 a.m. and goes until 5:00 p.m, featuring a lunch and reception sponsored by Cozen O'Connor.
